ABOUT

Malcolm Leak is an American-born former collegiate basketball player, championship-winning coach and long-time mentor whose career has spanned the United States, Denmark and the United Kingdom. With decades of experience in athlete development, education and community leadership, he has built a reputation for combining high-level basketball standards with genuine mentorship an dpersonal development.

His journey through basketball – from elite American college competition to building championship programmes in Europe and the UK – forms the foundation of ML Elite’s Philoshophy today.

NCAA Division I Athlete - New Mexico State University ((1991-1993)

Malcolm earned a basketball scholarship to attend New Mexico State Univeristy after becoming one of the top junior college players in the United States.

While competing at NCAA Division I level:

The standard he wished existed.

Malcolm Leak is a former professional basketball player whose career spans four continents. From NCAA Division I basketball at New Mexico State to an association with the Los Angeles Clippers, his playing journey took him through Brazil, Mexico, Australia, Indonesia, Chile, Venezuela, Cyprus, Denmark and the United Kingdom - including time in the British Basketball League with London Towers, Newcastle Eagles and Leicester Riders.

Off the court, he has worked as an academy coach at Burnley College Basketball Academy, in youth development, and in social work - building a practice rooted in mentorship, education and confidence. ML Elite is the culmination of that work: an organisation designed to give young athletes the environment, structure and standards he believes they deserve.
